Unilever launches luxury Magnum

LONDON - Unilever is launching a premium Magnum which comes in an individual box in a bid to establish a luxury sector within the handheld ice-cream market.


Magnum Temptation will be backed by TV advertising and is due to hit shelves this month. As well as a significant marketing package for the luxurious launch, Unilever will continue to invest behind core lines, including last year's launch, Magnum Minis.

Made using new ‘cold shaping' technology, each Temptation ice cream has a rich combination of ice cream and sauce encased within its chocolate shell.

Anna Ford, senior Magnum brand manager at Unilever UK said: "In these economically gloomy times, we can offer consumers an affordable bite of luxury. The launch will attract new consumers to the category as Magnum Temptation is unlike anything else currently on offer in the freezer.'
