Zenith has won the dollars 120 million global media account for United Airlines after a pitch against the incumbent agency, The Media Edge.

Zenith's win was in partnership with Fallon, which has picked up the centralised global creative account. The news marks a review for the airline out of the WPP-owned Young & Rubicam, which was the creative incumbent.

Fallon Media will handle planning for the airline account in North America, with Zenith carrying out the buying, but the latter will do all planning and buying across the remaining territories.

Steve King, Zenith Media's chief executive in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: 'Fallon and Zenith worked together to convince United Airlines that we can provide an unbeatable partnership.'
