- United News & Media has appointed Malcolm Wall as its chief operating officer and executive director.
Wall helped United divest its ITV businesses in July and then joined Granada Media. He was previously chief executive of UN&M's broadcasting and entertainment division.
Wall will work with divisional and group executives to develop plans to drive forward its various businesses. He joined the group eight years ago and has held various positions including deputy chief executive of Meridian and chief executive of United Broadcasting.
