Universal McCann on alert as Yoplait calls media review

Yoplait Dairy Crest, the manufacturer of children's chilled yogurts and desserts, is believed to be reviewing its £1.5 million media planning and buying account.

The company, which is a joint venture between the French dairy co-operative Sodiaal and Dairy Crest, uses Universal McCann. However, it has held conversations with rival media agencies.

Yoplait, which devotes the majority of its spend to TV advertising, produces brands including Petits Filous, Frubes, Wildlife yogurt and fromage frais, Yop yogurt drinks and Pokemon fromage frais and yogurts. McCann-Erickson handles the creative account.

Dairy Crest uses John Ayling & Associates for its media planning and buying.

It is not thought that this is affected by the review.
