Van Wagner UK replaces Charles B Hamlin

Charles B Hamlin, the chief executive of Van Wagner UK, has been replaced by Jordan Schaps, the 28-year-old son of the company's worldwide chief executive.

Hamlin, who launched Van Wagner in England in 2000, is returning to the US and will work within the Van Wagner group in another capacity, yet to be determined.

His replacement is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, who started his media career selling TV airtime for Telerep in New York City. He has also worked in Van Wagner's New York offices and, for the past 18 months, has been working in the London office where he managed Van Wagner's relationship with Network Rail.

Richard Schaps, the worldwide chief executive officer of Van Wagner Communications, said: "Van Wagner UK has grown from a start-up in 2000 to become the UK's leading provider of premium outdoor advertising. I look to Jordan to manage our continued growth through the provision of exceptional, high-value outdoor advertising venues in London and throughout the UK,"

Anne E Johnston has also joined Van Wagner as a director, concentrating on legal, financial and administrative matters. The changes take place with immediate effect.
