Delaney Fletcher Bozell has created a tongue-in-cheek launch ad for

Ambrosia’s new Creamy Crunch Custard, using an adapted version of the

Village People’s hit, In the Navy, as the soundtrack.

The song is sung by a man from the West Country riding a cow and wearing

a tweed cap, and by actors dressed up to look like the original Village

People.

The man and his cow progress through London traffic as he sings ’In the

country ... we’ve got a healthy appetite’ and ’... I like mine with my

oats on top’ to the tune of the disco classic. They make their way to

the motorway and then finally to the green hills of Devon.

A voiceover announces the launch of the custard topped with crunchy

oats.

The ad then finishes with the man singing, ’Say ooh arr to Ambrosia’,

followed by the strapline, ’Devon knows how they make it so creamy.’

The ads were art directed by Gary Betts, written by Malcolm Green and

directed by Theo Delaney through Tomboy Films.

The agency has also unveiled its first campaign for UK Horizons. The

press, TV, poster and radio commercials will break this week and

highlight the channel’s varied programming. They use the line: ’UK

Horizons - TV that makes life worth watching.’
