- Virgin Net, the UK entertainment and leisure portal, is to double its marketing team to 13 with the appointment of seven new team members over the coming months.
As part of the reorganisation Jo Peat, Virgin Net's head of marketing will now report directly to managing director, Alex Heath. Peat will take responsibility for all marketing activity including advertising, both on and offline, building brand awareness and channel acquisition.
Peat will be responsible for two teams made up of six members each. The first, to focus on Virgin Net's internet access and communications products and the second on activity virgin.net.
Virgin Net is currently in the process of appointing a customer relations manager, an ISP channel acquisitions manager, a marketing product manager and four executives to work alongside Peat.
