VivaKi launches Digitas in Australia

LONDON - VivaKi, the global Publicis Groupe media and digital operation, has launched Digitas Australia in Sydney.

Nicolas Guillemot, of Digitas Paris, will run the agency as the general manager alongside Mandy Henry, formerly the managing director of Carat in Sydney, who will take the role of managing director.

Digitas Australia will initially offer digital executions for Publicis Groupe agencies such as Mojo and Leo Burnett, as well as e-commerce projects and servicing and support for its media agencies, including ZenithOptimedia and Starcom MediaVest. It will also work on servicing international Digitas clients.

In addition to launching the agency, VivaKi is also drawing on the group's Australian agencies' expertise to create a centre for developing new technologies and proprietary tools for clients as well as launching a training and career development programme through its talent development platform.

Kevin Malloy, the VivaKi Australasia chairman, said: "Digitas is the first tangible example of VivaKi's launch into the Australian market. We have recently launched in New Zealand, UK, Russia, India and Iberia to great success."
