Vizeum's McCabe quits to join Emap Advertising

LONDON - Tim McCabe, Vizeum's long-standing head of radio, is leaving the agency to join Emap Advertising as its planning director.

Vizeum is replacing McCabe internally with Zoe Schmid, who will lead the radio and cinema implementation teams. She will report  to Matt Platts, the managing partner in charge of investment at the agency.

McCabe started his advertising career as a television buyer at Ogilvy & Mather a decade ago and has been at Vizeum for eight years.

His departure follows a restructure at Vizeum, in which Grant Millar -- hired from BT -- and Matt Andrews -- who was promoted internally -- became its joint managing directors.

Platts said: "Tim has made a fantastic contribution to Vizeum UK and will be sorely missed. It is, however, an indication of the people at Vizeum that we have someone of Zoe's reputation to take on Tim's position."

Karen Stacey, the broad-cast sales director at Emap Advertising, said: "Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge about radio and how clients can make the most of it as part of their marketing communications."
