VNU Business Publishing has split its corporate computing sales

team in two and placed an advertisement manager at the helm of each

division.

Jonathon Pyser has been hired as ad manager of the first unit, which

will handle sales for Computing and Network News.

Pyser previously held the position of sales manager at Lloyds List, the

international maritime business newspaper, which is published by the

Informa Group.

He fills the shoes of Matt Tasker, who recently became head of PC

consumer sales at VNU.

The second division is called Channel Products and houses Computer

Reseller News and its supplements.

Channel Products will be run by Becky Carr, a VNU employee of eight

years, who has been promoted from account manager to sales manager.

Meanwhile, Chris Priestly joins the department as account manager on

Computing and Network News.

Priestly moves from MDI Publishing, where he worked as sales

manager.

Completing the recruitment push, Richard Yu has been hired to the

position of account handler on Channel Products and will report directly

to Carr.

Both Pyser and Carr report to Penny Garratt, VNU’s head of corporate

computer sales, who was hired from Reed Business Information two months

ago.

VNU UK is split into four divisions: corporate computer sales, business

and finance - which is headed by Colin Belton - PC consumer magazines,

Corporate sales is led by sales manager Simon Cheeseman and sells to

VNU’s top 20 advertisers across the 11 UK-based magazines. Top clients
