Actor Martin Freeman plays a rude wedding guest in Vodafone's first integrated ad campaign by Ogilvy & Mather.
Freeman’s character is known as Mr Interruption in the film, which shows him loudly warning his friend against heavy data charges during the married couple’s first dance. The gag highlights the brand’s abolishment of roaming charges in 50 locations. The ad was created by Richard Barrett and James Manning at O&M and directed by Daniel Kleinman through Rattling Stick.
Ogilvy's previous spot for Vodafone told the story of an uncle desperately trying to get concert tickets for his niece Amy.
