The Voice appoints Reid as group managing director

LONDON - Colin Reid has been appointed as group managing director at The Voice, the UK's biggest-selling black newspaper.

Jamaican-born Reid is a partner in the accountancy firm Leroy Reid & Company and sits on the board of directors of London Action Trust and Securisys.

His appointment as group managing director follows the acquisition of The Voice Group by The Gleaner Company last month.

"All the talk is that the black minority and ethnic market is worth £32bn a year. But if advertisers woke up to this potential, the opportunities are vast. In the light of this, it's The Voice that brands should be listening to and it's The Voice that they need to use if they want to spread the word about their products and services," Reid said.
