Walker Media has been appointed by the Windsmoor Group to handle

its ladies fashion brands.

The campaign will kick off with the relaunch of the Dannimac weatherwear

range, which has been planned for spring 2001.

The Windsmoor Group houses the Windsmoor, Planet and Precis Petite

brands.

Nikki Hare, senior account director, and Sarah Horne, account director,

will handle the business.

Hare said she anticipated using a combination of press and outdoor in a

nationwide publicity drive for Dannimac, designed to reposition the

brand in the market.

Hare is in the process of planning the media push, which will be

combined with PR activity through Yellow Door Creative Marketing.

Anna Webster, account director at Yellow Door, will be responsible for

PR for the Windsmoor Group.

Hare added that she is waiting for briefs for the other Windsmoor Group

brands, which will also be advertising next year.

The Windsmoor brands will be handed over to Walker in early 2001.

Lesley Exley, marketing director at the Windsmoor Group, said: ’We are

confident Walker Media’s experience will help it capitalise on all

opportunities for this vital campaign for Dannimac. We look forward to

expanding our advertising activity across the rest of our brand

portfolio next year’.

Precis Petite is the only Windsmoor Group brand to have been active over

the past 12 months.

Its pounds 79,000 budget was spent entirely on press (AC Nielsen MMS).

This was bought through MediaCom.

The Windsmoor Group sells its clothes principally through concessions in

department stores such as Debenhams and Selfridges. The company was

founded in 1933 and employs more than 2,500 people.

Walker Media is headed by partners Christine Walker and Phil

Georgiadis.

It handles accounts for Alldays, Bhs, First Choice, Tie Rack, Packard

Bell, the New Millennium Experience Company, Dyson, British Airways and

the Daily Mail.
