Comedian Peter Kay pitches a period romance to Warburtons boss Jonathan Warburton in the latest ad for the bread brand.
His idea is for an "epic tale of passion, flour and a woman stood on a hill", with Kay playing the role of the brand founder who falls in love with his wife, Ellen, and sets up the bakery business in 1876. Kay follows in the footsteps of Sylvester Stallone and Kermit the Frog, who have both visited Warburtons HQ to pitch ideas in recent ads. The new spot was created by Gina Ramsden and Freya Harrison at WCRS, and directed by Declan Lowney through Another.
