The Week: Advertising News - AMV unveils Black Grouse

For this year's Famous Grouse Christmas ad, created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, the agency has introduced the bird's cousin, a Scottish black grouse.

The introduction of the new bird is designed to promote the company's Black Grouse whisky, which was launched in early 2008. Called "stormy night", the ad shows the silhouette of a grouse walking through a dark forest on a stormy night. As the sky lightens, it becomes apparent that the grouse is black, not brown as usual.
