The Week: Advertising News - Cheese-makers fight ban

Cheese-makers of Britain are fighting the "demonisation" of their product following Ofcom's decision to ban cheese advertising to children as part of its junk-food profiling model.

A survey of 100 senior people in the dairy industry, conducted by The Grocer, revealed that 52 per cent felt the Government was actively "anti-cheese", while 22 per cent felt the Government and its health messages were a bigger threat to the industry's growth than foreign competition.
