The Week: Advertising News - M&S admits - 'We boobed'

Marks & Spencer has launched a print ad to apologise for adding a £2 surcharge on the price of larger bras.

Using the headline "We boobed", the ads state that although it costs more to make a larger bra, the retailer recognised that it was wrong to charge the consumer extra. The retraction came after a group called Busts 4 Justice tried to spark a nationwide outcry about the extra charge and threatened to confront the M&S chief executive, Sir Stuart Rose, at the company's annual meeting.
