The Week: Advertising news - Marketing spend rallying

The IPA's latest Bellwether Report has revealed that the rate of decline in marketing spend is showing signs of slowing.

In the first quarter of 2009, it was recorded at 34 per cent, less than the 42 per cent reported in the final quarter of last year. However, the quarterly drop in marketing spend was still the second-largest since the report was first published in 2000.
