The Week: Advertising News - McDonald's under fire

McDonald's has been accused of breaching the spirit of the rules on junk-food advertising to children in a new TV campaign due to launch this summer. The ads for its Shrek Happy Meals will only promote the carrots, fruit and milk meal options, but the healthy eating pressure group Sustain thinks that using Shrek to push meals that also contain burgers and fries goes against the intention of the laws.
