The Week: Advertising News - Minister responds to AA

Dawn Primarolo, the public health minister, has written to the Advertising Association suggesting the Government would rather work in partnership with the industry than impose a 9pm watershed for junk-food advertising.

Writing in response to a query from the AA about the Government's intentions, Primarolo said: "We welcome the changes that food manufacturers have already made in advertising directed at children, and are keen to strengthen existing partnerships with the food and advertising industries."
