In a move to cut costs, Procter & Gamble is planning to dictate which production companies its US agencies use, threatening agencies' autonomy over the process.

P&G is in the process of pre-selecting its preferred production companies, and it is understood that the UK-based Reckitt Benckiser is following its lead in conducting a similar shortlisting of preferred production houses.
