The Week: Advertising News - Pepsi sorry for iPhone app

PepsiCo has issued an apology on Twitter after users accused it of stereotyping women in an iPhone application for its energy drink, Amp.

The brand stopped short of pulling the application, which targets young men with suggestions on how to chat up 24 types of women, such as the "nerd", the "sorority girl", the "punk girl" and the "treehugger", but apologised for any offence it may have caused.
