Publicis is tipped to be the leading bidder for the digital agency Razorfish, which has been put up for sale by its owner, Microsoft.

Microsoft has hired the investment bank Morgan Stanley to find a buyer for the agency, which is expected to fetch as much as $700 million, according to reports in the Financial Times. Publicis, which recently agreed a refinancing deal to fund acquisitions, is thought to be up against potential bids from the rival networks Omnicom and WPP Group.
