The Week: Advertising News - Red Bull targets pub chain

Red Bull has been accused of attempting to use underhand field marketing tactics aimed at getting the pub chain JD Wetherspoon to restock the drink after its contract was terminated in favour of its rival Monster.

The strategy involved "wings girls" smuggling Red Bull into Wetherspoon pubs in an attempt to persuade bar staff and managers that customers were unhappy with Monster.
