The Week: Advertising News - Renault pulls 'N word' ad

Renault has pulled a print ad featuring the phrase "the 'N' word" after a number of complaints were made about it to the Advertising Standards Authority.

Although the regulator has yet to investigate the complaints, Renault has removed the ad, which was part of a campaign to promote the company's claim that, for a limited period, Renault dealers were not allowed to say "no" to their customers. The work was created by Publicis.
