The Week: Advertising News - Web spending could dip

Growth in internet advertising spend is set to slow this year, according to a report from WPP's pooled media buying entity Group M.

Although the internet remains the fastest-growing medium, its share of overall global adspend is set to fall from 32 per cent last year to 30 per cent this year. The report also forecasts that global adspend growth will overtake economic growth in 2008, thanks to the Beijing Olympic Games and the US presidential election.
