The Week: Advertising news - WSTA backs campaign

The Wine and Spirit Trade Association is backing a campaign aimed at consumers who are concerned about overzealous restrictions on the promotion of alcohol.

The Responsible Drinkers Alliance claims to represent the "moderate drinker" and argues that "concern over the minority who misuse alcohol often results in limiting the freedoms of the majority". It aims to give "responsible consumers" a say in tackling alcohol-related harm.

The WSTA has appointed Folk to create a campaign to promote the organisation and drive traffic to the website, where visitors can join and enter an online debate.
