The Week: Advertising Reviews - Kerry Food brands in review

Kerry Foods is reviewing the £5 million advertising account for its Wall's and Richmond Pork Sausages brands after 12 years with McCann Erickson.

The split came about following differences expressed over the creative direction of the account, which also includes advertising for the Mr Brains brand. The agency's most recent work was a 2004 campaign for Wall's, which featured a dog jumping into a plate-glass window. The ad sparked 174 complaints over concerns that it would encourage animal abuse, but it escaped censure on the grounds that it was "clearly exaggerated slapstick".
