The Week: Alison Wright takes new strategic director role at Engine

Alison Wright, the former chief marketing officer of Citi UK consumer and Egg, has been appointed to the new role of strategy director at the Engine Group.

Working closely with Debbie Klein, the joint chief executive, she will develop Engine's "Best in class under one roof" proposition, while driving the group's integrated working practices.

Due to a number of acquisitions, Wright has filled numerous jobs in the past couple of years.

In January 2006, she became the chief marketing officer of Egg. However, six months later, she took up the same title at Prudential and Egg, following the acquisition of Egg by Prudential. Then, in June 2007, following the acquisition of Egg by Citi, she took on her most recent role, before leaving to take a sabbatical.

Wright said: "As a marketing director, I was constantly looking for better integration between agencies. This role enables me to use that experience to shape Engine's offer."

Klein added: "Alison understands what clients are looking for and she knows how to make the best of what Engine has to offer those clients."
