The Week: BBC keeps Agency Republic and adds GT to digital roster

The BBC has reappointed Agency Republic and added GT to its digital creative agency roster, following a review handled by the AAR.

The Corporation chose the agencies from a shortlist of four that also included glue London and Start Creative. Play and 20:20 London, which appeared on an original shortlist announced in August, did not make the final list.

Agency Republic and GT will work alongside the BBC's advertising and media roster agencies across all aspects of the broadcaster's output. As well as working on briefs to support individual programmes, the BBC is keen to find ways to support its channel brands, such as the main BBC TV channels and CBBC.

The BBC called the review after two of its roster agencies, Dare and Digitas London, resigned the business, leaving Agency Republic as its sole agency. Previous BBC work from Agency Republic includes the Musicubes and Meet the DJs campaigns for Radio 1.
