The Week: Brand news - M&S heads FTSE's greenest

Marks & Spencer is the FTSE 100 company that is seen as having the greenest credentials, according to a survey of journalists, political groups and experts on sustainability.

BSkyB, HSBC, BT and Sainsbury's were the next highest-rated, while BP and Tesco are perceived as being the compnaies that were most likely to practice "greenwashing" - promoting a green image, but not backing it up with real action. The research was carried out by Chatsworth Communications.
