The Week: City news - Bailey snubs BBC web offer

Sly Bailey, the chief executive of Trinity Mirror, has blasted proposals made by the BBC to share its video content with newspaper websites, calling the initiative "self-serving and lacking in creativity".

Bailey said that the deal was little more than a traffic-driving operation for the corporation, and would hinder the opportunity for commercial partners to gain revenue.
