The Week: City News - Bidders line up for Emap

Emap has attracted at least five bidders for each of its divisions, according to The Times.

Its consumer magazines division, valued at £700 million, has received bids from Hearst, Providence, Cinven, Quadrangle and Exponent; its radio division, valued at £400 million, has interested GCap Media, Global Radio, UTV, Vitruvian Partners and Veronis Suhler Stevenson; while its business-to-business division, valued at £1.3 billion, has attracted UBM, Guardian Media Group, Apax, Providence and Cinven.
