The Week: City News - Dennis profits on the up

Dennis Publishing's pre-tax profits rose from £361,000 to £2.06 million in the year to December, but turnover fell from £61.7 million to £60.2 million.

According to the Financial Times, profits from The Week, which Dennis acquired 100 per cent control of in January, made up for the declining sales of its men's magazine Maxim. Dennis paid £1.38 million for the remaining 3 per cent stake in the weekly news title in January, after spending £9.1 million acquiring a 20 per cent stake last year.
