The Week: City News - Johnston sees £94m slump

The regional newspaper publisher Johnston Press saw widening pre-tax losses of £94.2 million for the six months to 30 June 2009.

Total ad revenue fell 32.7 per cent with print ad revenue down 33.5 per cent and digital revenue, which was separated for the first time, down by 18.8 per cent. The company has now agreed a three-year £485 million debt facility.
