The Week: City News - Publicis warns on UK growth

Publicis Groupe revenue was down to EUR1.105 million during the third quarter from EUR1.122 million in the same quarter of 2007, but the company said adjusting the figures to take into account the drop in the values of the pound and dollar showed organic growth of 3.9 per cent globally.

Maurice Levy, the Publicis Groupe chairman and chief executive, said: "Regarding the UK, our situation is much better than many of our competitors. However, the financial sector is so damaged (that) it has a strong impact on the UK economy."
