The Week: City news - Sorrell: longest-serving CEO

Sir Martin Sorrell was named the UK's longest-serving FTSE 100 chief executive in a Times survey this week.

The chief executive and founder of the WPP group is in his third decade in the role, having held office for more than 21 years.

Charles Sinclair, the chief executive of the Daily Mail & General Trust, came in second spot, having held his own as a boardroom boss at the paper for more than 18 years.
