The Week: City News - Sorrell's £60m is approved

Shareholders at WPP have approved a five-year incentive package that could see the chief executive, Sir Martin Sorrell, earn £60 million in bonuses.

Also at its AGM, WPP reported an increase in global revenue of almost 34 per cent for the first four months of 2009, with constant currency revenues up by more than 10 per cent. However, like-for-like revenue for the period was down by almost 7 per cent, excluding the impact of acquisitions and currency fluctuations.
