The Week: City news - Trinity predicts fall in ads

Trinity Mirror is expecting ad revenue in the first two months of 2008 to be 3 per cent lower than it was for the same period last year, the company said this week.

At the release of its 2007 financial results, the company reported ad revenues down across all sectors, with property and motor hit particularly hard. Revenues for 2007 fell to £1.01 billion from £1.07 billion in 2006, and adjusted pre-tax profit was down from £213.6 million to £208.9 million.
