The Week: City News - WPP warns on UK market

WPP Group has started the year with like-for-like revenues up 5.2 per cent over the first five months of 2007, but warned the UK is proving a tough market.

The pace of growth quickened in the first two months of the second quarter to more than 6 per cent, the group said in a trading update at its AGM on Tuesday. Worldwide revenue was up 1 per cent over the period.
