THIS WEEK: Ideal Home rebuilds

IPC has completed a major refurbishing job on its Ideal Home magazine to stem falling readership. Editor-in-chief Sally O’Sullivan, who jumped ship from NatMags in December, has orchestrated the facelift.

IPC has completed a major refurbishing job on its Ideal Home magazine to

stem falling readership. Editor-in-chief Sally O’Sullivan, who jumped

ship from NatMags in December, has orchestrated the facelift.



The June issue, which will have a cover price of pounds 1, will

reposition the title as a lifestyle magazine, as opposed to home

interest.



IPC is spending pounds 1m marketing the new look, which will be

advertised across IPC’s women’s titles and the Daily Mail. It will be

supported below-the-line with a Laura Ashley discount card.



Ideal Home’s circulation dropped by just under 12% in the last six

months of 1995 compared with the first six months of the year, according

to ABC figures.
