The Week: Media News - BBC to grow by 30 channels

BBC Worldwide is to launch another 30 international channels over the next two years as part of a five-year strategy to double the corporation's profits.

The new services, which are due to break from April, will be grouped under the BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies brands, and will make use of hit programmes such as Doctor Who and Spooks.
