The Week: Media News - BBC hits back at Bradshaw

The BBC's director-general, Mark Thompson, has hit back at Ben Bradshaw's criticisms of the BBC Trust and accused the Culture Secretary of political interference. Speaking at the Royal Television Society in Cambridge, Thompson also said the Trust's review of BBC services would be "both radical and open-minded" but conceded the BBC was in a stronger position than its commercial rivals.
