The Week: Media News - BBC Rajar boost

The BBC has hit a new radio audience share high of 56 per cent, according to the latest Rajar figures for the first quarter of 2007. Commercial radio's share dropped from 43.6 per cent last quarter to 42.1 per cent this quarter, with the biggest declines suffered by small local commercial stations. Classic FM and talkSPORT did manage to increase their audiences, but Virgin Radio and Heart both recorded slight drops.
