The Week: Media News - Bebo plans job cutbacks

Bebo, the social media site owned by AOL, is cutting jobs at its UK arm and freezing investment in web TV production.

Bebo has entered into a consultation with its 20 UK staff over making cuts after AOL announced about 100 employees from Bebo's global operations would leave. In the past, Bebo has created the web TV shows KateModern and Sofia's Diary, both of which were co-funded by advertisers.
