The Week: Media news - C4 and Sky to merge sales

Channel 4 and BSkyB are reported to have reached agreement on merging their advertising sales teams in a bid to build their share of the TV ad market.

The move, which would involve Channel 4's sales department merging with Sky Media, is unlikely to be confirmed until the Competition Commission announces its decision on Contract Rights Renewal, which regulates ITV's activities in the TV ad market, later this year.
