The Week: Media news - Comms giants join forces

A group comprising global agency networks, advertisers and media owners has been formed under the banner of the Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement, to look at new ways of measuring media consumption across TV, mobile and computers. The alliance includes the Interpublic Group-owned Mediabrands, WPP and Publicis Groupe, plus CBS, Discovery, News Corporation, NBC Universal, Time Warner, The Walt Disney Company and Viacom.
