Jack Connors, the founder of Hill Holliday, has joined the race to buy The Boston Globe from The New York Times Company. He will be up against Stephen Taylor - a former executive at the newspaper and a member of the family that sold it to The New York Times Company in 1993 for $1.1 billion - and Stephen Pagliuca, the managing director of the private equity company Bain Capital and co-owner of the NBA team the Boston Celtics.
