The Week: Media news - ECI seals ILG Digital buyout

The private equity company ECI has completed its buyout of the digital media company ILG Digital, the parent company of i-level, in a deal valuing the business at £45.5 million.

As part of the deal, first revealed by Campaign (25 April), ECI has taken a 60 per cent stake in the company, with the remaining shareholding being held by the existing management, who plan to inject cash back into the business. Shareholders include the i-level founders Charlie Dobres and Andrew Walmsley; David Pattison, who joined last year as the chief executive of the parent company; and Faith Carthy, the group managing director.
