The Daily Mail has raised its cover price by 5p to 50p, prompting accusations of hypocrisy from the Daily Express.

The Express accused its rival of bringing in a price rise, while also publishing stories about the effect of rising living costs on British families and branded its parent company, Associated Newspapers, a hypocrite for campaigning against waste, while publishing the free newspapers Metro and London Lite.
